Reflecting on Sustainable Fashion Week

The Rewear Revolution

Sustainable Fashion Week (SFWk) finishes later this week, on October 8th, ushering with it a season of conscientious fashion choices. The theme? The Rewear Revolution.

Cities like London, Manchester, Bristol, and Brighton were united in celebration of sustainable fashion, and so was Frome! That’s right, Frome!

A Hub of Sustainability

Frome is the perfect choice for sustainable fashion with its many independent retailers in the town and so it stood tall as a hub during Sustainable Fashion Week. From September 30th to October 1st, the town came alive with eco-conscious fashionistas exploring the ethical alternatives to fast fashion.

A Vibrant Window Display

In the heart of Frome, our shop became a canvas for creativity, featuring a curated selection of pre-loved treasures, reminding everyone that fashion's beauty can endure beyond a single wear.

What They Said About Our Window

Penny Snell, from High Pavement restaurant in Frome, couldn't help but be impressed by our Sustainable Fashion Week window. "It looks fantastic," she remarked, echoing the sentiment of many passersby.

Josie Mcculloch-Oakey, our shop manager at BCDH's Frome Store, was equally thrilled. "It's great to have brilliant items in the shop that we could re-use and some recycled clothes to make a vibrant and colourful window for Sustainable Fashion Week," she shared.

Join the Rewear Revolution

But the story doesn't end with our shop's vibrant display. Our call to action is an invitation – an invitation to be part of Sustainable Fashion Week and visit not only BCDH's Frome shop but also our three other charity shops in Bath, Trowbridge, and Bradford on Avon. Come and discover sustainable fashion options, from timeless looks to cherished labels.
