The adoption process

What to expect on your adoption journey

Thank you so much for looking to adopt – it is such a wonderful gift to give an animal a second chance. We see a wide range of breeds and characters here at the rehoming centre, taking in on average 15 animals every week, so we know we can help you find a perfect companion and friend.

Adopting is an exciting journey, we welcome you!

Please note that you cannot walk around the catteries and kennels as our cats and dogs find this very stressful, but instead you start here online.

1. Fill in a form and send in photos of your house and garden.

2. We will call you for a chat about what you are looking for, and tell you about any potential matches we can make.

If we cannot match you, we will explain why and let you know about next steps. It may be that adoption isn't right for you, at this time.

3. You come in to meet your matches.

4. Adopt!

It can take time to find the right match for you, so please keep an open mind on what you are looking for and trust our expert Rehoming team. We promise that all of our rescues are worth the wait!

OCTOBER 2024 Please note that we are experiencing a high number of applications at the moment, so expect 10-14 days from your application in to receiving your phone call. It would help us greatly if you did not chase your application before that time, as it only adds to our delay. Please be assured that we take everyone's application in turn. Thank you for your patience.
